Video Transcript
"Hi everybody now I'm going to show you how to do another classic magic trick with stuff you can find around the office. So go to your desk or a friends desk get you some tissue, tissues we are going to roll these up to a ball here. Make these into little balls again.

This what I'm going to do is set these out into a square like this. Now if I just give them a little cover like this we would see one of them jump across to join it's friend in the corner. Now if I cover them up again another one jumps across just like that to join it's friend in the corner.

The last one we are going to do even a little further away, give it a little cover like this a little wiggle and it jumps right across to join it's friend in the corner like that and that is how you do the paper ball matrix and in a minute I'm going to show you how to do that. "

"Hi everybody let's do the explanation for the paper ball matrix. Now if your somebody who is studying magic in the side and you have a book on magic this trick may have the unfortunate name of Chink and chinks sadly some magic books where written before the political correctness but if you every see that name for a trick in a book this is what they are talking about.

Now we are going to make our 4 little paper balls and you want to have a extra one. Now I'm going to hold this in my left hand I like holding it here clipped on my thumb like that. Kind of spread these out and what I did was I was arranging these in a square, I took this one out of my pocket, I had a extra one ready to go.

Okay I'm going to hold this in my left hand and what I'm going to do is cover the opposite corners like this. I'm going to drop this one here and I'm going to pick this one up here like this.

So it goes like that and they look like this and I'm going to come across like this, cover with the hand that is holding the extra ball, I'm going to cover this one same thing you can give a little shake if you want, drop the extra one, pick up the one here, then one more time we come across just like this, we cover with the extra ball, you can move this one a little bit further away if you want, give it a little squeeze like that and that make that ball jump across and that is how you do that paper ball matrix."

Two Card Selections

"Alright everybody, let's do a trick with the stripper deck using the principle I just showed you. We'll have two cards selected. Say they were selected from a fan. They can be returned to the deck. We'll give it a shuffle and a cut. Now, for the first card, I'm just going to run my finger along the deck just like this. I'm going to pull out one card. That was the king of diamonds.

Shuffle the deck again. For the next card it's going to be a little more difficult. I'm going to cover my eyes with my hand, just reach over, cut the deck, and find the second selected card, the jack of diamonds. That's the two card selection using the stripper deck. In just a minute I'll show you how to do that."

"Alright everybody, so basically to do the two card selection, we combine some principles and some ideas I already talked about into a trick. Let me run it through for you so you have it all in one place. These were the cards we used, the king of diamonds and the jack of diamonds. These could of have been selected from a fan. That's probably what I would have done or I would have had them selected from a spread like this. Let's say they were selected from the spread.

We'll do the square up like this, then I can have the first person return their card. The second person maybe I'll do something like have them say stop. They can return their card there, they can just push it into the deck somewhere. It doesn’t matter because now I know right where those two cards are. I can even see them a little bit sticking out there. It's hard for the camera to see probably, but I can see the edges of the cards sticking out. We'll give them a shuffle.

I'll use the over hand shuffle for the first one. All I'm going to do is strip out one of the two cards. This is the case where they don't know what you're going to do. If you're stripping them out and you get both of them, you still did a good trick. I'm going to try and get just one of them and strip it out just like that and show them that's the jack of diamonds. Then we'll cut the deck.

I gave it a riffle shuffle. Again, being really careful not to reverse the other half. Then for the second card, I just my hand over my eyes and then I reached over and I gently grip the edge of the card that I can feel sticking out and cut right to the second selected card, the king of diamonds. That's how you do the two card selection using a stripper deck."

Two Card Variation Using a Stripper Card Deck

"Here's some other ideas to use with a multiple card selection. The first idea is that you can use more than two cards. We'll use the jack and the king and this 7 of clubs. Once they're reversed in the deck, you can have them in different spots like that. You can shuffle the deck as much as you'd like and you can do a few different things.

You can Hindu shuffle the deck, and if you can keep doing that eventually you're going to strip out all 3 cards and they're going to end up on top. Or you could pull one card out, cut to the second one, and then for the third one you can do a Hindu shuffle until you run out of cards and then strip it right out like that.

There's also one variation that we're going to put in a trick where if have the cards on top, you could cut the deck again. Now they're all together in the deck and you can just strip them all out and kind of spread them like that. That gives it a cool sort of poker player flare to it.

I'll review that for you quickly. If we have the cards at 3 different spots in the deck and we do the Hindu shuffle and they end up stripped out so they're all on top. Then we can cut the deck, and using the strip out, we can just pull all three cards at the same time. That's a cool flourishy way to reveal multiple cards."

"Alright, so let's do another cool card location using the Svengali deck. This one is called the card in the bag. You need a brown paper bag. So, we'll have our spectator say stop, you can look at the card, put it back in the deck, mix it around so nobody knows where it is. Then, I'm going to take the deck, take the brown paper bag and we'll place this right inside just like this.

Using my expertly trained fingers, I cover my eyes here, reach in the bag, no that's the 4 of spades, that's the 6 of hearts, oh, I think I got it. I got one card from the deck and it just happens to be your selected card, queen of clubs. So come back in a minute and I'm going to show you how to do the card in the bag."

"Alright everybody, so let me show you how to do the card in the bag trick. You need to get yourself a brown paper bag, just a standard bag, there's nothing tricky about it and you need your Svengali deck. Now, we have our card selected just like this and this is all kind of a bunch of red hair and stuff because I'm going to have the cards shuffled. I'm going to mix them up just like this.

If you want you can have a spectator cut the deck, but no matter what happens, like we remember from before, there's always a duplicated of the selected card on top. So, we're going to take the deck, place it flat in the bottom of the bag, so it's just laying flat like this right in the bottom of the paper bag.

All I'm going to do is reach in and grab the top part card and pull it out and show it to you. But to add a little bit of sort of presentational stuff to it, I'm going to cover my eyes and reach in and look like I'm reading the cards with my fingertips. So I can go that's the 4 of spades, that's the 6 of hearts, that one's the kind of diamonds, oh, oh wait I got it right here, I got it and you pull it out.

You can pull it out with the back toward them and then you can show them that's their selected card, the queen of clubs. In just a minute I'll show you some more variations on the card in the back."

Video Transcript
"Alright, so I'm going to show you some variations on the card in the bag trick and this is going to use a little bit of the impossible location stuff that we talked about before and I'm going to show you some other ways to do that. Then, coming up I'm going to show you one more version that you can even do this in a show. But anyway, we'll have our card selected.

Now, the part that's going to be the same is that if we take the cards, we can put them in the box, buckle that top card out again, close the flap under the box and we can grab our paper bag and we can put the deck right inside the paper bag and then it sort of adds that extra layer of impossibility. We reach in, take the card right out of the box, inside the bag we pull it right out of the box just like that.

So now it's in the box, in the bag, we can pull that right out and show them just like that. You could also use the duplicate card idea that we did before and what you would do is you would do the trick just like we did a minute ago. Only you would close the box normally and wrap a rubber band around it and then you're going to have a duplicate card in the bag.

You can even have the bag folded up with the card on the bottom of it. Then you would put the deck in the bag, reach in and just quickly pull the card out just like that. In the minute I'm going to show you one more variation to do in like a bigger show and it will be cool, so come back."

Impossible Location Trick

"Okay everybody so let me show you another cool Svengali trick. So let's take, the deck will have a card selected and what I'm going to do is take the deck, put the deck in the box and I'm going to close the box just like this and I'm going to put the deck in my pocket. I'm going to reach in and just by feel, pull out the very same card that you selected. Just like that.

Let me run through that for you one more time. Have a card selected, put this right back in the box. I'm going to reach in my pocket, take the card right out just like that and we take the deck right out of the box, I can show you there's no more king of clubs anywhere in the deck because I pulled it out. In the minute I'm going to show you how to do that very cool trick."

Video Transcript
"Alright, so here it is, the explanation of the impossible location trick. I really love this trick and in the next segment I'm going show you a couple of other ways to do it. But, here's what I did in the performance that you saw; we had the card selected, okay. Now, this is one of those cases when you don't shuffle the deck because you want them to see the card is in the middle of the deck.

You're going to take the deck just like it is and stick it in the box. But there's another duplicate card right on the top. So what we do is we squeeze just a little bit so that the top part would buckle just like that and we're going to close the flap of the box under that card. Now there was some tricks like this using the regular deck in other segments that we did, but now what happens is I can just pull that right out of there like that.

So I'm going to take the deck and stick it into my shirt pocket, you can stick it into your pants pocket. If you have a man who's wearing a suit jacket, you can stick it in one of his outer pockets and then you just reach in and with your thumb, this is what happens in your pocket.

With your thumb you just grab this card and pull it right out. Now, if you do it with this part of the deck, not this way, but this part of the deck facing them, you can pull the card out with back to them and then you can show it just like that. So that's how you do the impossible location and then in a minute I'm going to show you some other ways to that trick as well."

Impossible Location Variations with Senegal Deck

"Okay, so the impossible location is a pretty good cool trick, but I'm going to show you a couple of other ways to do it that you might like. One way is you do the trick the way I showed you, up into the point where you close the box. We're not going to put the box in our pocket this time, we're going to just stick it behind our back and right behind my back I'm going to do the same thing I did and just pull the card out, bring it out in front of me and show it like this.

So, I'll review that for you. We'll just put the deck in the box after it's been selected, squeeze it like this so that the top card buckles a little bit, close the flap just like that so the card is sticking out and behind my back I can pull the card right out. Now, you can also do the trick this way and this is very sneaky and under handed. Have the card selected just like that.

You can put it in the box, close the box normally and wrap a rubber band around it just like this to keep it close. Then you can put the deck in your pocket, reach in and some how manage to extract the card just like that.

Now the way you do that is you just take an extra queen of clubs from another end deck, stick it in your pocket like that before the trick is starts and then you just have them pick the card. There it is, you seal up the deck, you rubber band like that so they can't open it and you put this in your pocket, pause for a second and take out the other card and you've just done an amazing trick."

Spoon Bending

Spoon Bending Office Magic Tricks

Spoon Bending Office Magic Tricks -- powered by eHow.com

Video Transcript

"Hi everybody Malik the magic guy more cool stuff to do in the break room at your office find yourself a spoon. That's all you need you can do that cool standing on your nose thing if you know how to do that and if your that kind of person that thinks that's funny. Alright so you want to find yourself a table surface you want to take the spoon and if you really crank down on it like that you can get it to bend. But it you just lay your hands down over it, it'll you know form itself back to normal.

Now because your master psychic you can also take the spoon and kind of place it onto the palm of your hand like this and if you let go the spoon will stay suspended. Even with your fingers wiggling everything, and you can have this spoon examine by your co-workers, collegues, friends, anybody else you've groped into watching it. So that's a fun thing you can do with a spoon in a break room I'll show you that in just a few minutes."

Video Transcript
"Alright everybody now I'm going to show you how to do the floating spoon, now this can also be the floating pencil, the floating pen, any kind of long skinny object. Your going to need a couple of other things your going to need to be wearing a watch, and you need to have something like a ruler. I'm going to use a table knife but you can use a ruler, you can use another pencil, anything that's kind of flat, and basically your going to stick it in your watch band just like that.

Now all you do is you place a spoon in front of it like this okay and what your doing is going to hold it up with your finger like this so that it looks like it's balanced an then you can spread your fingers out and take this finger away. And it looks like you have the spoon floating in you hand now when I did the segment before I actually did the bending spoon part with this already set up.

So this was here and I just did this and then you know I took the spoon and stuck it right here so if your wearing a long sleeve shirt you can have this a little further back you can have this right here it's only needs to be clipped on the very end and now you get a pretty good illusion that the spoon is just kind of floating there like that.

And that's kind of a fun trick that you can do with some stuff that is around the office, don't be afraid to switch out the props do some experimenting practice in the mirror and see how it looks and have fun with it."

Glass Thru the Table

Glass Thru the Table - Magic Tricks Revealed

Glass Thru the Table Office Magic Tricks -- powered by eHow.com

Video Transcript

"Hi Malik the magic guy now I'm going to show you a cool trick that you can do if your office has a kitchen or break room something like that. You need a glass I'll discuss some variations on this in a minute and you need a quarter and we're going to do this right down on the table. Now I'm going to do this trick with a quarter but because it's a secret magic thing I'm also going to take this sheet of newspaper and sort of make the glass a little more so we're going to roll this up in a newspaper here just like this because I don't want you to see the secret magic guy stuff. We're going to twist this around kind of fold it over like that so the idea is I'm going to make the quarter disappear just by covering it just like that with the cup. Now if I cover it like this and takes a snap of a fingers (no it's still there) a snap of the fingers (still there) oh I forgot tails up is the snap of the fingers (still there) no okay no alright let's try it like this and it goes right through the table."

Explanation of Glass Thru the Table Magic Tricks -- powered by eHow.com

Video Transcript

"Alright everybody so lets talk about the glass through the table and some props and some alternatives of how to do the trick. Now we're doing this standing up here but cause of the formative of the video but this is really a good trick to do sitting down at a table or when your on a chair you got a big table in front of you.

So that's why when you watch the performance part of it you might of seen how it was done early. But we're going to go through it now, now I used a piece of newspaper for the performance I'm going to show you how do with a like a piece of standard this is yellow photo copier paper I'm sure your boss will love you taking paper out of the copier to do this.

And I'm using a glass you know I'm sure you have a kitchen and your office may have a glass or not any sort of cup with some weight to it. If you have one of those thermo coffee cups that have a little weight that'll work too but you'll have to find another reason to wrap it up.

But basically with the glass right over the quarter you can also do it with a salt shaker, if there's a salt shaker in your office. You want to borrow a quarter, the quarter is really just to take the focus off the glass, so we're going to cover it up you know I'm going to take this paper, wrap it around the glass just like this, give it a little twist on top you can do this with a stiff paper napkin, you can do it with paper towel.

The key part is you want this to happen you want the glass to be able to slide out of the paper just like that. Cause that's really going to be the secret to the trick so we're going to cover up the quarter and do a little magic thing, it didn't disappear. Now we're going to oh it needs to be tails up, now each time you bring it back you bring it toward the edge of the table.

Okay though we have the heads oh it didn't disappear we're coming back toward the edge, back edge towards you. We do it tails up we come back and on the third time we're going to drop the glass right out of the paper into your hand but your going to do this under the edge of the table, like this.

And your still focus on the quarter now your going to do your best to act like the glass is still in here, your going to put this down and your just going to slap that like that and it looks like you just pushed the glass right through the table.

And you can do that with you know find alternative props use a salt shaker you know use something else other than a quarter so that's the way to do the glass through table, have fun with that one."

Video Transcript
"Alright everybody, I am going to show you another version now of the cut and restore rope. What we want is a piece of rope, we are going to tie it and tie a loop right here, tie a knot in the rope just like this. Then we are going to tie a knot in the rope just like this. Now, I am going to cut here and then I am going to cut right here and that leaves us with 3 pieces of rope tied together with two knots. Now, if we roll this around my hand just like this, you take the scissors give it a little wave, stick them in my pocket and just like before miraculously the rope has restored itself into one piece. That is the double cut and restored rope and I am going to show you how to do that in just a second."

Double Cut Rope in Half Magic Trick Revealed -- powered by eHow.com

Video Transcript

"Okay everybody, here is how you do the double cut and restore rope and this is one that I did for years in my show. I don't think this is a trick you could do in your show and be proud of if you ask me. It is going to work kind of similarly to the other one but we are going to do things a little differently. This time instead of tying the ropes in a square knot, what you do is you wrap this rope around like this and you tie it in a knot this way cause you want to have a single knot that slides like that. It is just a single knot, not a double knot, a square knot. Then we are going to take this one, we are going to wrap it around. We are going to tie that in a loop just like that. Now, the only part of this that is going to confuse you is if you do it wrong you will end up cutting in the wrong place but what you want to do is there is the part of the rope that is continuous and then there is the part of the rope that is near the end that makes the knot and you can tell which one is which. We want to cut here, we don't want to cut the continuous part of rope we want to cut you see how this goes into the knot here, we want to cut the piece of rope that goes into the knot. So we are going to cut right here and then we are going to come down to this end and we are going to do the same thing, we are going to cut right here. See this is the continuous piece here. If you practice this a couple of times you will see what I am talking about. So now we have created two of those sliding knots just like in the 3 to 1 ropes except that we kind of made them on the fly. So once again we are going to wrap the rope around our hands like this. We are going to take the scissors, give it a wave, stick them in the pocket just like this, try not to stab yourself in the leg and then you can unwrap the rope and show that it is completely restored. That is the double cut and restored rope."
